In the days when fruit juice came in only orange, apple, grapefruit or pineapple flavour, Mike Dowdeswell and Ian "Mac" MacDonald founded frobishers. Their vision: to provide discerning juice drinkers with delicious, not from concentrate, fresh fruit juice, full of flavour and without any nasty stuff.
Their customers loved it and before long restaurants, bars and hotels across Britain were clamouring to stock frobishers juices. As the business grew, more mouth-watering fruits were introduced; from the simple pear to the more exotic mango, bumbleberry and passion fruit.
To help them source the finest fruits, frobishers began working with Cobell, a young company based in the south west, dedicated to supplying the highest quality fruit ingredients from across the globe.
Fifteen years later, following a fruitful business relationship (which developed into a firm friendship), Cobell bought the controlling share of frobishers in 2009.
The name and vision remain the same but the frobishers brand, range and quality continues to grow from strength to strength.
