Frobishers was delighted to attend and sponsor the Trencherman’s Guide again this year, now celebrating its 26th edition. Joined by some of the South West’s favourite food and drink heroes, the launch of the 2018 guide took place at the extremely elegant Restaurant Hywel Jones at Lucknam Park on April 30.

Featuring 161 restaurant write-ups along with details of this year’s award winners, Trencherman’s has become the ‘go-to’ guide for anyone looking to track down and enjoy a top-notch meal in the South West.

Guests on the evening were treated to a stellar line up of dishes from some of the region’s top, Michelin starred chefs, with Scott Paton of Boringdon Hall, Michael Nizzero of The Bath Priory and Andy Appleton of Appleton’s at the Vineyard all joining Hywel Jones in the kitchen to cook up a luxury four-course storm.

This veritable feast was of course accompanied by our very own Frobishers Classics range of delicately sparkling fruit juice drinks, alongside wines from Hallgarten & Novum Wines.

Speaking on the night, Trencherman’s chairman, Michael Caines MBE, said:

“As a group of chefs, we are proud to represent the best dining in the South West and continue the Trencherman’s tradition. After all, the guide was started 26 years ago by chefs and hoteliers with the aim of guiding gourmets to the kind of special establishments that we’d like to visit.”

A fabulous evening all round and one we very much look forward to being involved with in future years.
